Not sure about ya’ll, but sometimes I have leftover coffee from the morning’s brew, and I just hate tossing it out. Especially, when it’s the amazing beans that I’ve ground and lovingly brewed that come from Coffee on the Porch in Camden, Maine! Dan and Judy are artisan coffee roasters, and I know that some real love has gone into each and every bean. That means great hot coffee and some even more awesome coffee strawberry chiller for later!

Nothing better than using this coffee for an afternoon delightful treat. With just a few things, I’ve made myself and some others a treat that hits the spot, gives us a lull boost and makes us feel like party time with little or no effort! I love keeping pretty glass bottles that other products have come in or finding retro/antique small glass milk and cream bottles–they become my ‘drinking’ vessels as you can see here.

Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups of brewed coffee, room temperature or cold (I used a rich 'Amalfi Coffee' bean from Coffee on the Porch )
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 cup vanilla bean ice cream (get a really good brand)
  • 3 large fresh strawberries, sliced partially to the top, green leaves on
  • 3 tsp. whole coffee beans

Instructions

  • In a pitcher, combine the coffee, vanilla, cinnamon and blend.
  • Pour each of your serving glasses with equal amounts of coffee.
  • Add equal amounts of ice cubes.
  • Dollop equal amounts of ice cream to each.
  • Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a teaspoon each of coffee beans.
  • Serve immediately!
