Muffaletta Olive Salad
You might be scratching your head and thinking, wow, this is like a muffaletta olive salad.
Well, yes, in some ways. But, there is a difference. The harissa!
What’s a muffaletta olive salad?
Muffuletta olive spread is a chopped olive salad made primarily from green and black olives, capers, and pickled vegetables like pepperoncini and giardiniera, bound with olive oil and dressed with red wine vinegar and herbs such as oregano and parsley. Key components are a mix of briny olives, the sweet tang of roasted red peppers and pimentos, acidic vinegar, and savory garlic, all finely minced to create a chunky, spreadable mixture.
