paris my wonderings & wanderings
Two of the things that I love best about traveling in Europe are the people and the bicycles! The people in Paris enchant me as they go about their days~~it seems it’s more relaxed, life is easier.
There’s more camaraderie as I see them sit at cafes, sip wine and coffee and chatter away with whoever they’re with. Then there are the bicycles. No wonder you many French stay fit with all their walking and biking. Oh, yes, sometimes I cringe at the way the bikes and the scooters weave in and out of the traffic from zipping breadbox cars not much larger than a cardboard box that a washing machine would be packed in, the large buses, city transportation and sight-seeing ones, the city trucks, and, lest not forget the police and ambulances. The many lanes are always full and you can shake hands with the vehicle next to you because you’re that close!
How do I decide who I snap photos? Sometimes it’s random, other times, it’s compelling. I like to capture the looks, expressions, faces, and emotions. It’s like stealing a part of whomever I find in my camera lens. Some people may look and wonder, others have no idea that I’m watching them.
And, that’s what makes for the best photos and memories. While these photos aren’t specifically ‘culinary’ or ‘food’ related, they are capturing precious moments that inspire me with my food and with life. Enjoy my wonderings and wanderings and remember to look for inspiration in unexpected places. Be present in the moments of life.
