In fact, in the time that my hubby and his buddy, Captain Dale, moseyed down to our dock to get the john boat out of the water and on the lift, this meal was done. Yes, that’s how quick and easy it is.

Now, what I love about this easy oven meal is that it’s primarily done in the oven. Yes, you’re going to pan sear the Aussie grassfed beef in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. But, you’ll put that delicious skillet of goodliness right in the oven with the veggies.

Need to Know

If you’ve never worked with Aussie Grassfed Beef, here are some really cool things to remember:

Less total fat.
More heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
More conjugated linoleic acid, a type of fat that’s thought to reduce heart disease and cancer risks.
More antioxidant vitamins, such as vitamin E.

How To Cook Ribeye Steak in a Pan

Probably one of the easiest ways to cook your steak! And, it’s great because you can do it year round. No need for a grill.

You can pan sear for your charring and crust in the pan then finish in the oven. Or you can finish on the stove top. 

The very best way to determine your finish is to invest in a meat thermometer, then check it occasionally to see if the internal temp is at your finish (rare, medium rare, medium, etc.).

Yield: About 6+ servings

Ingredients

  • Preheat Oven to 400
  • VEGETABLE PREPARATION:
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. hot paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic granules
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. coarse ground pepper
  • 1 Tbl. Braggs Nutritional Yeast
  • 2 cups baby potatoes, should be bite size, if not, cut in halves
  • 2 cups zucchini, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 cups sweet onions, cut into bite size pieces
  • 8 oz. mushrooms, your choice
  • 1 large banana pepper, cut into about ¼” rounds
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 4 Tbl. butter, unsalted, melted
  • RIBEYE PREPARATION:
  • 1 ½ to 2 lbs. Aussie Grassfed Beef, ribeye cut, two steaks
  • 3 Tbl. oil
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 3 tsp. coarse ground pepper
  • 4 Tbl. butter

Instructions

  1. Put the vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Whisk together the olive oil, paprika, garlic, salt, pepper and nutritional yeast. Pour onto the vegetables. Toss and blend well. Scatter on a large parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Roast in a preheated 400 oven for about 23 to 27 minutes. Remove. Drizzle on the melted butter.
  2. Coat both sides of the ribeye steaks with the salt and pepper .Heat a large cast iron skillet (10”+) on medium high heat. Add the oil and let it get hot. Pan sear each side for about two minutes.
  3. Finish cooking in the preheated 400 oven for about 7-8 minutes. Remove and add the butter to the drippings and blend. Cover and let the meat rest about 5 minutes before cutting into bite size chunks.
  4. Put extra beef au jus in a small container and serve with ribeye.
  5. Serve immediately.
